Tuesday September 3rd – open training and FuMA

Did I have luck picking going to Berlin exactly this week! I didn’t know my Fußballgötter had an open training session today! Did I learn a lot, yup! Did I meet some nice guys, giddio! I even met my hero(in) from AFTV! How much luck can a small Bear in Berlin have? Quite a lot it seems! You who know, you know. You others, well, your problem.

So the training was interesting, as a Bear I have an eye for details. First of all quite a few of our Fußballgötter were by their national teams so I can not say anything about them. By the shooting practice I noticed that Skarke had a very good and precise foot, number one of the guys I saw I will say. The new guy from Stuttgart, Jeong, also. I can totally understand that Bo put him on late in the game against St. Pauli even though he is pretty new in our team. Hollerbach was full of power, not always successful, but very ambitious! Then it was a little bit embarrassing, at least for me as a Bamsegjengen Bear used to take care of my family. Jordan had problems hitting the target, that’s no big news, but when he hit the target some guys shouted “finally!”. That’s really not my cup of tea, harassing your own players?! I wonder if they were real Unioner, or Herthafans in disguise? You never know these days of fake news and manipulation. I may be small but not stupid. Finally our new target man Ilic was a little bit disappointing. His shooting was half hearted and not precise, maybe he was tired? He broke his leg bone this spring and hardly played for Lille, I hope he will soon be up to the game. I know the people in Vålerenga loved him the short time he was in Norway, let’s hope he can bring some joy to Köpenick also.

And then I finally (pun intended) got to meet my heroes! Bo had even fun signing my scarf. He said it was nice to hear some Norwegian for a change and I guess he was a little surprised to know that Union also has a Norwegian fanclub.

 At least I can make a woman smile, and Katharina was just as sweet in reality as I had imagined. I still have to say I prefer my gals a little bit more hairy, I guess that has something to do with me being a Bear.

A short knock out nap absorbing all the impressions before more action to come.

FuMA had organized a meeting in our Wohnzimmer this evening with… our trainer Bo Svensson and sports chef Horst Heldt. Q & A, beer, food, the whole kit and caboodle. Since this is strictly for members and everything said and done there doesn't leave the premises I can still show you some photos. But you don’t try to fool me to tell any secrets, I have given my Bearword that my mouth is sealed – but always open for a steak in bread, hehe.

 After the meeting Rune and I, a few friends of ours, chilled in Köpenick. Talked our secret talk, and also had a good time. Things don’t have to be boring just because it’s strictly secret.
